This Holiday season showed me the true meaning of the word "Giving". My dear friend Doris purchased a one of a kind Necklace. She called it her signature piece. The center piece of the necklace was a vintage 1940's Rhinestone clip. Impossible to ever find again. Here is her story in her words:
Lee, I have to tell you a story, Last Friday I was invited to a Christmas Party, through a guest. I went wearing my gorgeous piece I bought from you. My Signature Piece. The woman who was hosting the event kept staring at me. I had never met her before and she kept looking at me...
She finally approached me and apologized for staring. She said, I'm so sorry but the piece on your neck is magnificent. I immediately took it off my neck and gave it to her. Her reply-NO! I can't take it I said NO!- you have to have it if you love it that much...
And then she broke down and cried. It was the anniversary of her mother's death and the piece reminded her of her mother .....She felt like it was a gift from her mother and she couldn't believe that I gave it to her. She didn't even know me and she began to cry
...And so we passed the necklace on...BUT then I realized I had given away my SIGNATURE NECKLACE and I cried too.
I love this story My dear friend was so generous and selfless in the giving.....
May we be BLESSED in our selfless giving whatever it is
Happy Holidays 2017 FROM Fleur de Lee
